PTA is a non-profit volunteer organization. We rely solely on volunteers to serve on our board, organize our events, and help with PTA run school activities. Without you, these events and school activities are not possible. Please consider volunteering for our PTA!
Volunteer Requirements
To serve on the PTA Board:
Must be a PTA Member at least 30 days prior to the elections
Must be a cleared volunteer with the school and have done a live scan
Must be elected at the yearly election association meeting
Once elected, board members MUST take their position specific training class as well as the Focus on Finance course.
To serve on a PTA Committee:
Must be a PTA Member
Must be a cleared volunteer with the school
Must be appointed by the PTA President
To volunteer for events during school hours:
Must be a cleared volunteer with the school
Fill out volunteer application (you can get from the school office)
Have a negative TB test within the last 60 days and submit to the school office.
If volunteering for more than four hours in a week during school hours in any capacity (event, handling PTA admin duties, helping in your child's classroom, etc), you must be live-scanned and the office needs to have the results.
To volunteer for events where cash will be handled:
You must take the finance class to volunteer for events where money will be handled.
